Live Event & Wedding Painting

A bit about me: My name is Maria Oswalt Ittenbach (pronounced IT-in-bock) and I am a mother and artist based in the Atlanta area. I have been drawing and painting for about as long as I can remember — in fact, my very first wedding illustration was one I made for my parents when I was in kindergarten. Since having my first child in 2024, I have been on a mission to use my talents to help others commemorate life's biggest and most beautiful moments. My artistic style is bright and painterly, inspired by the impressionists of the 19th century, with visible brushwork and textured layers. I love capturing light and motion and dazzling moments.

The Process & Pricing
The Process:
When you first reach out via the inquiry form below, we’ll begin a conversation about your vision and timeline. I love hearing about what moments matter most to you and what you want me to capture. We’ll discuss size options, style preferences, and any other specific details you’d like to be included in your one-of-a-kind painting. Once everything feels aligned, I’ll secure your date with a signed agreement and 25% deposit.
On the day of your event, I will show up two hours ahead of time to begin setting up and sketching out the background. If your event is a wedding, that will likely be either the ceremony or reception location (it's up to you!). From there, I will paint live throughout your ceremony and/or reception, capturing the atmosphere and emotion as it unfolds. Guests often enjoy watching the painting come to life; it becomes part of the entertainment and adds a unique artistic element to your celebration.
At the end of the event, your painting will be complete and framed! Before I leave, I’ll present the finished artwork so you can take it home immediately. If you would prefer that I add final touches after the event, I can also take it back to my studio for a week and mail you the finished artwork.

My live paintings begin at $1,500, plus travel costs, for a 16×20" original canvas painted during your event. A 25% deposit is required to secure your date. Pricing can increase based on canvas size and the level of detail you’d like included. Because each painting is custom, I provide a personalized quote once we discuss your preferences and event details — but in general, before travel costs, they range from $1,500–$3,000.
If your wedding is within a 2-hour drive of the Atlanta area, travel is included. For locations beyond that radius, I add travel and boarding costs to cover transportation and overnight accommodations if needed.
Every live painting includes professional setup, premium materials, and delivery of your finished artwork at the end of the night (or delivery by mail if requsted).
