My first children's books: 'Marvelous You' and 'Family for a Snowflake'

I was honored to be given the opportunity to bring these two books to life. Author Aimee Murphy wrote Marvelous You after she and her husband adopted four embryos; she wanted a book that might help their children understand how their unique family came to be. Marvelous You is intended to be read to children adopted as embryos; the second book, Family for a Snowflake, is a version of the story told for the family and friends of those children.


For those who don't know: in the US, there are over half a million embryonic human beings "leftover" from IVF treatments, frozen indefinitely, unable to grow or be a part of the family they were created for. These "snowflake babies" deserve a chance at life — and one of the ways they can be given that chance is through embryo adoption.


The first of the four embryos the Murphys adopted is now a sweet and wiggly little boy. May every child get the same chance at life that he's gotten!
